Pubic and Catholic Schools

Kingston is home to two English and two French school boards offering Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12.

• The Limestone District School Board: Non-denominational board, offers French immersion
• Algonquin & Lakeshore Catholic District School Board: French immersion programs
• The Conseil des Écoles Catholiques du Centre-Est de l´Ontario: Oversees all Catholic French schools in Eastern Ontario
• The Conseil des Écoles Public de l´Est de l´Ontario: Oversees French public schools in Eastern Ontario

Private Schools

There are numerous private schools in Kingston that cater to various spiritual and educational needs.  Private schools are not-funded by the government, they are independent schools with varying tuition fees.
